Rumours going around Sedgley Park that ex hooker Richard Oxley (now at plymouth) is to join his home town side newcastle falcons next season. Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce that the following members of the current playing staff have agreed terms for the coming season, 2007-08. Chris CRACKNELL, Sam HEARD, Rhodri McATEE, James MOORE, Heino SENEKAL, Adryan WINNAN 'Pertemps Bees have signed rising Welsh back-row star Matt Larsen. Brendan Burke formerly of Leinster and who has played most games for Rtherham this year has signed for Bedford. Alberto di Bernado the leading points scorer in ND1 is apparently leaving the Cornish Pirates for Leeds, together with Joe Bedford of Rotherham Rumours the Pirates have signed an inside centre called Nick Buckley from Moseley for next season. I think he is injured at the moment. Cov have re-signed Full Back & captain Ben Russell on a 2 year contract and number 8 / Second Row Hendry Rheeders for another season. Mason signs for another couple of years at Mose Justin Bishop signs for Knights (25 Ireland caps) from London Irish having made over 280 apps for LI. Confirmed today by the Cornish Pirates new signings are:- The Club welcomes the following new Pirates: Nick BUCKLEY - 27yrs old New Zealander who has played for Auckland NPC and against the 2004 British Lions. He is a former team-mate of Tim Cowley and currently playing at Moseley. Nick is 5'10" and 14st 11lbs Rob ELLOWAY - 23yrs old hooker, a Lancastrian who has represented England Schools 18 Group. Currently at Gloucester, Rob is well known to our Assistant Coach Mark Hewitt. Mark describes him as, 'an exceptional young player' Rob is 6'0" and 16st. Gareth STEENSON - 23yrs old fly half, an Ulsterman who has captained Ireland U21's. Currently playing for Earth Titans, Gareth is an outstanding goal kicker and a Premiership player in the making. He is 5'10" and 14st 5lbs. Brian TUOHY - 24yrs old centre/wing. From Munster Brian has played for Munster and Ireland 7's and is currently playing at Earth Titans where he has scored 15 tries this season. He is 6'1" and 15st 2lbs. Bedford back row man Adam Kettle is leaving to play for Plymouth next season. |

National League 1 side, Coventry Rugby Football Club, has secured 15-members of its first 1st XV on long-term, two-year contracts which include Ben Russell, Ben Toft, Carl Rimmer, Darren Clayton, Donovan Sanders, George Dixon, Kurt Johnson, Michael Walls, Myles Dorrian, Rudi Brits, Sam Montague and Stuart Friswell with more players to follow. Hendry Rheeders and Heno Venter are the only two that have a season to run on their existing contracts.

Speculation that Emyr Lewis is to leave Bedford at the end of the season.
Ben Patson and Liam Roberts also confirmed for next season on top of Brendan Burke. |

News down here at the pirates is they have signed Oliver Thomas a 10 form Moseley as well as there 12 Nick Buckley.

Captin,
Your radar is well off kilter. On the Pirates unoffy site all the official news is posted and there is absolutely nothing about the two you mention. We have signed Steenson from Roth and we also have James Moore, why would we want another no 10. |

Rotherham have signed props Stuart Corsar and Phil Boulton for next season.
Both players have had previous spells at Clifton Lane. Corsar joins from Glasgow, and Boulton arrives from Leicester he has spent the past season on loan at Nuneaton |

Bedford have signed winger Ryan Owen from Leicester.
www.bedfordtoday.co.uk/Vi...ID=2717593 He has been on loan at Nuneaton all season. He has played 21 games and scored 2 tries. I'm quite surprised he has been signed by a Division 1 side, I didn't think he would be good enough for the Nuns next season! Also Rotherham have signed tight head prop Phil Boulton. He is also a Tigers player and has been on loan at The Nuns. I believe he is a fantastic player, he is massive and has a huge workrate. He's also got a great cross field kick! |
