The Board of Doncaster Rugby Football Club reluctantly announce the departure of Clive Griffiths from his post of Director of Rugby after just one year of a two year contract.
Clive Griffiths has accepted the post of assistant to Mike Ruddock, his old colleague within the Welsh international team, at Worcester RFC.
We have really appreciated the role Clive has played over the past year and the whole club was looking forward to an ongoing, positive relationship. That is now not to be.
However, we are really proud of our existing squad members and hope to continue to compete at the highest levels of national rugby.
The search is now on, albeit at a late hour, for a replacement Director of Rugby and we are sure that the spirit of the squad and the club will continue unabated.
On a separate and unrelated issue, the Board also announce the departure of Jason Forster who is returning to Wales for family and personal reasons. Jason has been not only the Captain for the past season but also the cornerstone of the teams achievements. We wish him well for the future.
