James Moore allegedley went for 40k to sit on the bench for most of the season, but MU said he wasn't good enough for the Cov squad.
How can we stop them going if other clubs are paying that much cash?

cheap jibe! | ||

yes it was a cheap jibe Scratch Bees and not for first time.Evidently despite a new computer my typing skills are faster that the keyboard can take,and I did try and change it but too late.
As for Bluetooth surely something that is in the public press is sufficient information,the explanation was offered to me without asking and surely is only concern to Cov supporters. Players leaving only Geraghty and TJ worth crying about and TJ has only started playing well this latter part of season,as had Geraghty following a lot of injuries. |

re Aaron | ||
|
Aaron Takarangi works as a Teachers Assistant responsible for Sport, he is married and the only one in the team that has a child. He had already signed with a club that trains after school because of his family work and voluntary community committments.

players leaving | ||

Its a shame when players move on especially players with family ties to a club ie Ollie Thomas from moseley Ben Gulliver and Dave Campton from Coventy but ambition and the pound in the pocket has got to far outway any mis guided loyalty to the past glory of their fathers playing career's. especialy if their gut instincts are telling them that things are'nt right where they are?

What are you implying? | ||

Is all not well at Butts Park Arena?
We'd never have guessed!!!!!! |

Nothing | ||

not implying anything, other than if a player feels the need to move away from a club that has family connections for them then there has to be a number of factors money-ambition- etc

Re: Nothing | ||

In Dave Campton's case, the reasons for moving on have been made pretty clear.
He'd taken on heavier business commitments recently, and was then offered a contract which would have required him to go full time. He declined, and managed to get a part-time contract locally. It sounds sensible to me, a rugby career is limited in length. Running a business has much more serious long-term implications, especially for a player who while very well respected locally, both for his performance, and his loyalty does not look likely to ever play at a higher level. |

Well are we out of financial insecurity and cruising up the league next season with a switched on management and forward thinking playing staff or has the place been mortgaged up to the hilt and the long drop into oblivion getting closer and closer, 12 months on from the evil one. Where are we?

Re: 12 months | ||

Hoani is in the NZ Maori squad to play at Exeter in the Churchill cup. If anyone is paying the ludicrous prices the RFU is asking to go to the games perhaps they'll post a report for the benefit of Cov supporters.
